It is distinguished by its emphasis on fostering an interdisciplinary learning approach, so students can be guided to integrate perspectives from the humanities (such as human geography, literature, history, philosophy, religion, arts, and social sciences), natural sciences (such as physical geography, ecology, biology, climatology, and marine science), and digital technologies (such as AI , GIS and metaverse) to explore the interactions between humans and the natural environment. This therefore allows for an understanding of environmental and ecological issues from cultural, social, and ethical perspectives.
